Legal
Terms
cortexhacks.africa is published by The Cortex Accelerator Hub (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa. By using the site you accept the terms below.
What this site is
The site lists the Hub's hackathons and the details of each one: dates, themes, stages, eligibility rules, judging criteria, prizes and partners. It is an information service. It does not itself accept entries and it is not a contract to run any hackathon.
Accuracy and changes
We publish each hackathon's details as they are confirmed, and mark details still being confirmed as such rather than guessing them. Dates, venues, prizes and programmes can change, including where a funder or host institution requires it. The details shown on a hackathon's own pages are the current version, and they replace anything said earlier elsewhere.
Entering a hackathon
Registration is handled on an external form linked from a hackathon's Register page. Eligibility, team size, judging and prize rules for that hackathon apply to entrants, and the judges' decisions are final. Intellectual property is governed by the clause published on that hackathon's About page.
Content and trade marks
Text, layout and graphics on this site belong to the Hub unless stated otherwise. Funder and partner names and logos belong to those organisations and appear only with their agreement, on the hackathon they support. You may quote or link to pages here with attribution; do not republish a partner's marks separately.
Liability
The site is provided as is. As far as the law allows, the Hub is not liable for loss arising from reliance on information published here, from site downtime, or from content on external sites we link to. Nothing here limits rights you have under South African consumer law.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by South African law. Questions go to info@thecortexhub.africa.
